4A - Forming An Opportunity Belief 

I believe that a problem that exist at this moment is the pregnancies at an early age due to the lack of sexual education in children and adolescents. In Mexico, 20% of annual births occur in mothers under 20 years of age (https://www.sciencedirect.com). Many times this is due to abuse, poverty and, above all, lack of sexual education. In Venezuela, during the last 3 years pregnant teenagers have increased 15% due to the current situation in the country.
There are many consequences after a pregnancy at an early age, adolescents can suffer from many complications during childbirth, and their babies are also in danger, there is a high mortality rate or malformations rate in them.

• Do you know what are the methods to take care of a pregnancy? Yes, but I'm not sure how they work
• Did you know that 20% of pregnancies in Mexico come from girls of your age? I had no idea
• Have you ever gone to the gynecologist? No I have not

Reflection:
Girls of this age need more information to avoid unwanted pregnancies in the future

 #2 14 years old male

• Do you know what contraceptive methods are? Yes, the basics I suppose
• Have you ever attended a class about sex education? Yes, but I did not pay much intention
• Do you consider that more information is needed on this topic?  Not really

Reflection:
Men consider this information irrelevant, since they say they know how and with what to take care of themselves

#3 17 year old female

• Have you ever attended a sex education class? Yes
• Have you gone to the gynecologist? Yes, I've been going for two years
• Do you know that last year there were more than 400,000 pregnancies in underage girls? I had no idea
• Do you consider it necessary to have more education on this topic? Yes, I think it's important   
  

Reflection:
This girl, who was a bit older, seemed like she had more information about early pregnancies


Summary:
Through the interviews I realized that sex education needs to be given from an early age, the 14-year-old girl did not have much idea about this topic, while the 17-year-old girl showed she knew much more information about the subject.
