3A- Your Entrepreneurship Story

3A - Your Entrepreneurship Story

1. Since I can remember my father has been a great example of “an entrepreneur”, he has shown me what it is to achieve a successful business starting with nothing but ideas. My dad’s company is called "Frigorifico La Pollera" and it is the best-known supermarket in my hometown, it is more than 40 years old since the founder was my grandfather, but my dad was the one who made the business grow. At first, they only sold chicken, now they sell chicken, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and much more ... Today there are already two branches of “La Pollera” with more than 200 employees between the two stores. If the situation in my country helped (Venezuela) I am sure that the business would continue to grow

2. I chose to put this class because in the future I want to be like my father and continue with the family business, make it grow even more. I want to learn how to handle ideas and carry them out in an appropriate manner to achieve success in my business

  1. Hi Maria,

I found your story so interesting. I think it’s so cool how you can relate this class back to your own father. It seems like it has expanded so much over the years, which is truly any goal of an entrepreneur. My uncles own an Italian market so I can relate to you on how your fathers started out small and then blossomed, much like my uncles’.

  3. Hi Maria,

Wow! Your entrepreneurship story is extremely interesting - one of the best ones I have read. That is fascinating about your father's success! Well done to him. As it is very well known, being a successful entrepreneur really comes with great challenge. I love how it is family run!

Your story is similar to mine as my uncle is an entrepreneur and I am inspired by him too. I believe family members make great inspirational characters.

I love your passion to continue the family business.

    Good Luck!
